Expanded Functions Clinical Assistant
I really enjoy getting to know our patients and building strong friendships with them. I want them to feel at home, safe, and relaxed during their visits, so they look forward to coming back. I joined the West Des Moines Dental Care team in 2010 and love being part of such a wonderful practice. Working with patients, I take X-rays, prepare them for their procedure, and explain what will happen. Then I sit chairside, supporting the doctor and the patient.
My husband and I have a young son and two English bulldogs. We spend our time with family and friends. We enjoy going for walks, taking the boat out, and dinner get-togethers.
Expanded Functions Clinical Assistant
I like helping people feel at ease and secure during their visits. Even people who have had bad dental experiences and are anxious quickly learn we offer painless care. As soon as they learn that, they relax and develop a positive feeling about dentistry and their oral health. I started working in the field in 2007 and found my home here in 2015. I assist the doctor during procedures, while talking with and encouraging our patient.
I am the proud mother of a young son who keeps me very busy. In my free time, I like to hang out with him and my friends.
I enjoy the company of my patients and learning about their lives. Not only do our conversations build a bond, but they tell me how I can help that person develop their healthiest smile. I became part of our team in 2015 and love working in a supportive environment where our patients’ needs come first. While I clean my patient’s teeth, I teach them about their oral health. Together, we find the best home care routines and products for their needs.
I’m currently engaged and will be married in October 2016. I like playing soccer in my spare time and being outdoors. I also love time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews.
I really like getting to know our patients and connecting with them. I’ve been part of West Des Moines Dental Care since 2002 and have developed wonderful friendships with many patients and families. I spend time with patients making financial arrangements that work with their budget. I also help them with their dental insurance, making sure they get the most from their benefits and communicate with the insurance companies. I handle billing, too.
My husband and I have been married for more than 15 years. We have two sons and a daughter. My family loves riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes and playing with our three dogs.
I enjoy working with people personally and professionally. Building lasting relationships with our patients and families is rewarding. I started at West Des Moines Dental Care in 2000 and am proud to be part of an incredible group of dental professionals. It’s essential each patient has a positive and comfortable experience at every visit and I strive to make that happen. We focus on great clinical and customer care and are here to help, whatever a patient needs.
My husband and I love to travel, from the beaches of Florida to the wine country of California. We enjoy cooking together at home and socializing with our friends.

I also want them to know they’re important to all of us and we’re here to make sure they are comfortable. I’ve been working in the dental field since 1974 and joined our team in 2013. I assist the doctor with operative procedures. I also sterilize instruments and take X-rays.
